I'll console myself by buying the Revolver box set by The Beatles which comes out in 12 days.

Standard CD, Deluxe 2CD, Deluxe 5CD, Vinyl LP or Dlx. 4LP + 7'' Single? Oh, so much unknown variety. Ranging from 18€ to 190€, so there is something for every purse... Hey beloved record label execs: That's what you get, when you upset Elvis fans: They run over to the enemy
Now excuse me, I've to listen to my old copy of the Revolver album right now...

Its all about royalties for the compositions of songs that would be paid for a physical release in 2022 ( within 50 years). In 2023 this is (partly) expired. The same for the FTD book including audio which now is planned for release, mid-2023.
The audio of the Legacy set will be available on December 2 through streaming services (Apple Music, Spotify, etc.)

Isn't it also about who recorded what and who owns what? There were two companies involved.

What a huge disappointment. While the Aloha From Hawaii from Matt Ross-Spang is a delight to hear, this EOT isn't my cup of tea. Ive compared it to the Amiga box, the difference is huge, in favor of the Amiga set.
