Benjamin Keough shot himself at a party for his girlfriend Diana Pinto and brother-in-law Ben Smith-Petersen's joint birthday, DailyMail.com can reveal
Smith-Petersen, 29, is the Australian stuntman husband of Keough's sister Riley.

The two couples (also) celebrated the joint birthday together in 2018 with a holiday to Tulum, Mexico.

Neighbors heard Keough, 27, partying at his mother Lisa Marie Presley's $1.8M Calabasas, California, home late on Saturday July 12. Around 3.30am, they heard a woman believed to be Pinto screaming 'don't do it' .

Police arriving around 6am discovered Keough had locked himself in the bathroom and shot himself in the head with a shotgun.

The tragic news comes as Pinto posted a loving, heartbroken tribute to her late boyfriend of more than four years, on Instagram on Sunday. Pinto wrote 'I don’t know how I’m supposed to do this life without you' and that she now knows 'the true meaning of grief.'

Keough's mother Lisa Marie Presley was seen holding hands with Pinto as they walked out of the Beverly Hills Hotel where the singer had been holed up.

Keough's father was also spotted speaking to Pinto outside the luxury hotel – the first time the low-profile former bassist has been pictured in public for years.

To be fair, I have seen through the years previously unpublished photos in the tabloids. The upstairs at Graceland including bathroom was first seen in the Star, I believe. If one can ignore the writing, it can be interesting when photos are or were, concerned.

Glad that Priscilla has been able to put together a public statement (although she didn't really have to ).

This poor woman has historically endure so much criticism from the fans and , as far as i'm concerned, most of it unjustified, including why she hasn't posted an official statement after the immediate loss of her grandson.

Thoughts and condolences go out to her, Lisa and the family.

These are some of the darkest days of my family’s life. The shock of losing Ben has been devastating. Trying to put all the pieces together of all the possible whys has penetrated my soul. Each day I wake up I pray it will get better. Then, I think of my daughter and the pain she is going through as she was a doting mother. Ben’s father, Danny, who is completely lost, as Ben was his only son. Riley, so loving and so close to him; Harper and Finley, who absolutely adored Ben. Navarone, who struggles deeply with loss and death. Rest In Peace Ben, you were loved. ❤️

This beautiful little blonde haired angel face is the way I remember Benjamen Keough. He looked so much like Elvis - especially when he was little. My heart and soul go out in deepest sympathy to his mom, Lisa Marie, his grandmother, Priscilla, his dad, Danny, his siblings & everyone who knew and loved him. This is an unspeakable tragedy and there truly are no words…
