I just don't understand why they did not remix the American 69 Memphis sessions, but they did on this project. Hell, They re-mix /re- master the out takes on Elvis at Stax and on Way Down in the Jungle Room, but not on his most important sessions in the latter part of his career.
I think the '69 Memphis would have been much harder to mix because those songs were built with layers of overdubs - from the American house band to various Elvis vocal drop ins. For the 1970 sessions, the overdubs were mainly strings, horns and background vocals. No doubt, this made the task easier.
It will be interesting if the correct splice of the undubbed Rags to Riches is used on this set (i.e., the original single edit). However, if its complete undubbed then it will be missing the opening piano and drum roll added to the master. I am sure Keith will be able to tell us what they have given us.
