update The November FTD's : ''Elvis Is Back!'' & ''Viva Las Vegas''

I got Elvis Is Back today and I have to say I am stunned. Firstly it is fantastic to have all the material from the "Elvis Is Back" sessions inluding outtakes gathered on 4 CDs...then the presentation...man..what a piece of art...wonderful coloured pictures of Elvis from these days..many from photo sessions...the CDs are housed in session notes and then the booklet...it contains ALL infos you need from these sessions..and much more..what a knowledgable writing...thats Ernst in his element ! No matter who complaints or not about these "complete sessions" releases..all we have so far are just magnificent...and this one is easily already my fave ..I am sure it will be sold out very quickly..I am already looking forward for more stuff like this...a collectors dream come true...thanks Ernst and company.

We'll all be round in an hour to listen to it.

I still can't believe this stuff is being released. My head would have exploded if I had laid my hands on something like this when I was 16. Nowadays. I'm a bit more calmed.

At 16 (well, maybe 14) I didn't even know there were such things as recording sessions and outtakes. I thought an artist went in, sung it once, and that was it.

Well it looks like the release date for both beauties is tomorrow (November 18th), although it could take several days or a week to reach stocks to all Elvis dealers & then to customers.... Can hardly wait .

We already told you, but the official announcement of Follow That Dream always takes a little time (like the deliveries).
The following release focuses on the recordings around Elvis first full-length record after his military service: Elvis Is Back (4-CD box). This commemorates the 60th anniversary of these recordings with dignity.
Together the book The Making of Viva Las Vegas comes out with three CDs.
A nice job for the end of the year. According to those responsible for the label, the delivery can still take place around November 18, but you can count on it for two weeks!
Consult the content of these two gems tomorrow via our webshop!

Some comments..I also made on FECC to an unpolite posting

I am no sound engineer and I dont care who remixed or remastered anything..I aint got a Sennheiser equipment anyway..all I can tell you...to my ears it sounds fantastico throughout but I wont compare with anything...not my job.

Some takes are single tracks, some are gathered in 1 track because they are FS or whatever. All is in chronological session order. Disk 1 is the original album and original single releases. On disc 2 the sessions start as they happened back then. It begins with Make Me Know it and the respective outtakes and ends on disc 4 with Reconsider Baby. I only listened to disc 2 and 3 as yet.
It is awesome to now have the Fama And Fortune sessions compact on one release. The takes were scattered on many releases incl. bootlegs (that counts for other songs, too). Also interesting to hear complete takes 14 and 15. Take 14 we only had from the master splice cut and released on Bilkos Gold Cuts, take 15 is new anyway. There were NO takes 13 slated because of superstition. I learned that from page 10 of the booklet where also the mics are mentioned. I also really love to have Like A Baby or Dirt, Dirty Feeling sessions now.

Surprises ? What do you mean...Elvis cursing..? Elvis singing one liners? Havent detected such things yet..It seems to be a clean session..also Elvis is NOT on drugs..if you meant that by surprises.

Fifthly: This release is a MUST HAVE !
