Mono to Stereo: For LP Fans Only & A Date With Elvis

On the subject of That's All Right, I'm no audio expert, but I would have thought that the dry master would be a better source for a respectful mono to stereo mix than the reverb drenched RCA album master.

Agreed... that version on the original LP sounds awful. For as bad as the mono version is, the SER release is on a whole other level... yikes!

Those ERS pressings of For LP Fans Only & A Date With Elvis were brutal. Rendered virtually unlistenable by echo and tape hiss. Thankfully, things have moved on considerably since then...

The upshot is that the producer has contacted me & feels so humbled that I would spend that much, which even he feels is more than it's worth,
that he's kindly promised to send me the next in the series for free !

It's coming later this year.
