Who is that ?

Felton...Elvis...Jerry Reed...Ernst...MRS...

Tony S,
when he was involved with M.R.S at the time Back In Living Stereo was released

Yeah I know as much as he does. I was talking to him this morning about it.

So in your opinion which CD is the correct one for the Dialogue for the Goin' Home tracks.?

I'm inclined to think that the American Way is correct. Historically bootlegs haven't moved dialogue around whereas whoever is responsible at FTD, has.

When i listened to the MRS CD it didn't match up with FTD CD. But the American Way CD did match up.

Now with new info from Keith, American Way may be in the wrong.

i agree but its still a better sound source then the MRS CD

I wasn't aware that was in contention.

There's too much noise reduction on the MRS CD.

Actually I'm not sure that's right. American Way has a hum to the tracks. MRS is cleaner.

American Way doesn't sound like a first generation, it's too noisy.

I used the The American Way CD for the Dialogue bits. if you use the right software you will get better results.
The MRS CD turned out crap.

Trust me it's the most complete tape transferred to bootleg CD.

i have just found out from a good friend its possible a third generation tape transfer from an old acetate.

Acetate to cassette tape.
Takes 3-5/9-14 are from an old Acetate Source in mono

cassette tape.
Takes 18/28 are from an old tape Source in Stereo.

I don't know. It depends on what you like or want in your Elvis collection.

You can look it up here.

Thanks !

I endeavour to have all his studio recordings, including outtakes, in my collection.

These days, making sure I get all the Sony/RCA & FTD releases, just about meets that requirement !
