She is visually upset about something... if she said "He's old" I would literally eat a hat...
"Let's go" makes much more sense...

She appears visibly upset and crying earlier in the show when she first sees him. What flavour is your hat?

I've always been intrigued by something in the CBS special. At the end as Elvis is leaving the stage, the girl below in the audience says something to her friend. To me it looks like she says "He's old" but my partner things it's "Lets go". If it was "he's old" why leave it in? Seems bad taste fromthe directors given this was shown after Elvis had passed.

It can be seen here at 59:48 (I knowthis video isnt the real special, mine is on DVD i just found this as an example)

She's saying "Let's go!"
I have always interpreted it to show she was upset about missing out (either greeting Elvis or getting a scarf, etc.) and was wanting to rush somewhere else ..... probably wanting to catch Elvis leaving/on his way out of from the venue.

Have never viewed it as in bad taste or negative. Instead, I took it to mean she was sad the show was ending.

Whatever she said it was stupid for the producers of the special to include it. Whether its 'he's old' or 'its over', it is all negative by the looks on her face and after what we just witnessed its something that wasn't needed to add to overall downward mood. I'm sure she must have known she was on TV. Has she ever come forward to tell anyone?

This is how I’ve always interpreted it. Always thought she said “Let’s go.” That she was wanting to try to catch Elvis leaving the arena in his limo. This is something I used to do as a teenager and into my 20’s. When a concert ended, we would rush out to where the limos or buses were in the hopes of catching a glimpse or getting an autograph.

My native language is not English, but I can still claim that the young woman was saying that "He's gone!", being unhappy that she didn't get a scarf, a kiss or even a hug from Elvis. I'm not sure, but she might have been one of the women at the side of the stage.

Maybe someone could track her down and ask her? She’s probably around 60 years old now. That would be a good project, track down and interview the audience members who had clips in EIC! I personally am dying to hear from popcorn beard dude, “Elvis means to me? A legend.” dude, and the “”He’s Human” dude. I also wonder if the postal worker still lives at home?

Let's not forget the Sioux City tornado survivor (him and his wife). They still came out to see "The King!"

She might not remember what she said all those years ago...
