I agree, he leaves no doubt that Elvis was a great influence for him and he's very sincere and empathic about it all.

I searched a bit, and it's from July 9, 2007: 'Enough Rope with Andrew Denton' (ABC TV, Australian TV show, Episode 9).

But Elton was able to go to rehab and has been sober for more than three decades, that is why he is still alive.

Also, Elton has been overweight in old age, not forty.
