Quote LEON - The final song to be recorded during the 'Nashville Marathon' and on the final day of 8 June 1970 in RCA's Studio B was "Patch It Up". It was however the live version from 12 August dinner show which was released on the TTWII album with the studio master mothballed for release at a later date firstly as a single release.
Having included in his setlist for his August Las Vegas engagement, it's placement within the show and the omission of Suspicious Minds suggests that he saw it as the replacement for Suspicious Minds which was just leaving the charts at the time.
Either the audience reaction of Elvis' gut feeling was not in the positive and the song received just a single additional performance, the aforementioned 12 August dinner show rendition featured both on the album and in the movie.
The highlight of this 10 August 1970 opening night version is undoubtedly the superb ending with Elvis showing how adept he must have been at Yoga!!
As with all of these videos, to get the most out of the re-edited audio, I highly recommend you use ear /headphones and turn the volume up as much as you dare!
