And all that in the studio!
To my knowledge Elvis never filmed in Acapulco.

You beat me to it, Luuk !

I was going to say that a film director's job it isn't easy when you're on location & filming in a different country from where your star is !

It means the use of stand-in actors & back-projections is the order of the day !

And still we bought our cinema tickets...

Back in the days,we did not notice.
You had to pay to see a movie, stand in line, wait for the movie to start, buy food and/or drinks during the intermission and then finally the excitement of seeing a new Elvis movie on the big screen.
Since VHS and even more with DVD we can see any continuity-errors. Or notice it is filmed in front of a back-projection.
I think the younger fans missed out on a lot of good things!

Here's something obvious: just after the dive, his hair is... well, wet. Just a couple of seconds later - they're perfectly styled:

Yes, we had this on a previous board. There's also the fact that his brown shoes turn black just after this as they're carrying him back on their shoulders. Also there are several scenes where the stand in is clearly visible, particularly the Rhumba scene.

Oh that previous board is now almost non existent (long story) and all the photos I put up there have gone. I will eventually get round to updating everything on here in a couple of months, I hope.

The shawl or serape or whatever that piece of cloth on his right shoulder disappears on close up shots.

I think it's still there, just in a different position. I'll have a look at the footage without the text over it.
