I used to get all of those, but since I divorced her, I get none of them.

It also occurred to me the other day, towards the end of our relationship, the last 2-3 years, I used to get really bad indigestion weekly, to the point where I was getting through boxes of indigestion tablets. The pain was so bad that I would be up for most of the night. I never kept a note of the food I was eating or who cooked it. So I was getting rid of some old medicines a few weeks back and there were a couple of boxes of indigestion tablets which had expired about ten years ago. I have not had indigestion since my divorce and it got me thinking, was she putting something in my food? Of course I can't prove it, but she was a very vindictive woman.

Stress could lead to indigestion and heartburn.
I am happy you got out of that pernicious relationship.

Are you sure you're not getting paranoid ?

I happen to know that your ex was a sweet girl who would never stoop to such depths...

She made up stories about at least a dozen men, most of whom I knew, and each time I said I'd go an deal with it, she always stopped me until I happened to speak to one of them and it was obvious she had made it up. When I started divorce proceedings, she then started making up stories about me.

The good thing was she was caught out lying by the solicitor.

She also accused our daughter of hitting her on two occasions a few years ago. My daughter who is now 26, said to me this year "Mum has got a personality disorder" after she'd witnessed a particular event.

Paranoid? Nah, not me.

Oh well, looks like she really was out to do you down...

So you still think she was sweet?

The 'sweet girl who would never stoop to such depths' comment was tongue-in-cheek, as you might have guessed...

Is she a Narcissist, John?

It seems to be a very prevalent personality disorder for "modern woman/man".

If so, everyone should run for the hills, (sadly).

1. Doesn't have empathy
2. Thinks only of oneself
3. World revolves around that person
4. If someone crosses them, they will try and destroy the person
5. Insatiable attention seeker
6. Needs special treatment above everyone else
7. Rage
8. Makes up stories without any conscious, tries to get others to take their side (like school children)
9. Envious of others, haughty, needs admiration
