Debbie Reynolds may have had her faults, Eddie, but when you were married, you cheated on her with Elizabeth Taylor...

We're entitled to an opinion about his behaviour, & to get that, we have to make a judgement.

That judgement may be inaccurate due to us not having all the facts, but we can only work with what we have...

We don't have to make a judgement. There is no need to make a judgement. How can you have an opinion about his behaviour when you do not know the facts?

You form an opinion & make a judgement based on what you do know.

I don't need written proof of all the facts to judge that the US has a piss-poor president.

We make judgements all the time based on what we perceive to be the facts.

If we didn't, we couldn't have opinions.

Most of us were of the opinion that Jimmy Savile was a well-meaning, if slightly odd, sort of character.

Our judgement & opinion changed when all the facts came out.

I was speaking specifically about Eddie Fisher. You made a judgement on very little information based on the quote of the day.

As far as Trump is concerned, that is very different, and a poor example. By the way, no one mentioned anything about written proof.

As far as opinions are concerned, they are worthless. They mean nothing. I've said it before and I'll say it again, there is no value to an opinion, other than to yourself, therefore often they are not even worth sharing. You have an opinion that Cliff Richard is crap. It means nothing though. It's completely irrelevant.

I suggest you watch the Henry Fonda film, 12 Angry Men.

Jimmy Savile was so creepy, I do not understand how so many people did not know it, perhaps it is a female thing to pick up on.

It was that person's manner, his vibes, his mannerisms, the way he looked at people, he oozed '"creep".

Just sayin'

"Warning, warning".

You might be on to something there because my daughter found him very 'creepy' when others [including me] just put him down as a bit 'eccentric'

How can you possibly know what information my judgement was based on ?

The usefullness of 'opinions' is that, by expressing your own, you discover whether there are others who share yours !

Hardly worthless, meaningless or irrelevant, in my opinion.

I've not only watched that film, but I've served on several real juries [twice as the foreman juror].

You said it quite clearly. It was based on the quote of the day.
The usefullness of 'opinions' is that, by expressing your own, you discover whether there are others who share yours !
Still worthless. So what?
Hardly worthless, meaningless or irrelevant, in my opinion.
See, it's just your opinion, to me it's worthless. The fact that I think so is worthless to you.
I've not only watched that film, but I've served on several real juries [twice as the foreman juror].
And?
