Phoenix - The Elvis Forum

Hi all,

Lawrence here. I joined this forum quite a while ago but have been inactive since my partner and I welcomed our little boy in January 2018 and also buying our first house together made things doubly difficult to be more active on here. Six months later and things have finally settled down and I can now actively come on here and hopefully post most days.

Elvis came into my life at aged 4 (I’m 23 now) when I watched Viva Las Vegas on BBC1. After watching it from start to finish I was hooked, something clicked and I’ve not been the same since. It grew from having one CD, to collecting original vinyl, concert memorabilia, FTD’s, autographs, 35mm, photos, books etc.

Favourite era: 70s (but currently reading a few different books about Elvis in the 50s).
Favourite song: It Hurts Me.
Favourite concert: April 9th, 1972, Hampton Roads Evening Show.
Favourite album: Elvis Is Back / From Elvis In Memphis.

Looking forward to participating on this awesome forum and hopefully will be able to learn new things about the man we all love.

It's nice to see someone of the younger generation who appreciates Elvis and who is taking the time and trouble to learn more.

Congratulations on the birth of your little boy. They grow so fast, so enjoy every little precious moment.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I’m happy that I can actively come on here now as Elvis is apart of my everyday life. Whether it’s listening to this music, reading a book or watching one of his films.

He sure will. I’ve played him some slow ballads by Elvis when he is struggling to get to sleep, it works an absolute treat.
