International Hotel, Las Vegas, 31st July 1969 is the only thing I can think of other than Elvis at the Jaycees award ceremony, which in truth wasn't really Elvis related exclusively.

What a great place to visit, it really is.

It wasn't 1969, it wasn't Vegas & it wasn't at the Jaycees...

I have two guesses.

Hollywood - November 15, 1960: Party held at Chasen’s Restaurant for Elvis Presley’s first post-army motion picture entitled G.I. Blues, in which Elvis did not attend.

The 1959 American bandstand Elvis birthday show.

Well done cadillac-elvis !

NB - Not sure if any of them went on to the party at Chasen's Restaurant...

Thanks, Colin.

So that reference to November 16 must be a mistake. Out of curiosity, where does this page appear on ?

PS - That photo of the marquee shows the "Elvis Presley" and "Hal Wallis" names written using the same size of lettering. Talk about injustices ! :)

The page is No.342 in the 2012 book: Elvis Presley - From Memphis to Hollywood 1960 by David English.

Strangely, the full title of the book appears only on the spine:
