Judging the yellow curtain it must be from Frankie and Johnny. Where Elvis and Donna walk off the stage after Pertunia. Also off course in the picture the stagehand, unknown to me.

Yes !

Donna Douglas & Elvis are seen backstage in Frankie & Johnny.

How you got that from a glimpse of the curtain is impressive, philobeddo !

Well done !

Grrrrrr.... I got that it was F&J - but thought you wanted to know who was in the picture so I was searching high and low for the name of the only person in the picture. Can you tell I had no joy?

Ha ha ha !

Fair point !

I should have worded it "Who is seen in the uncropped photo, apart from this guy, & where is it from ?"

I tend to phrase my quiz questions in a sort of truncated way that makes them easy to read, & proves to be quite sufficient for those run-of-the-mill
participants whose pedantry is of a lesser order than your own, Graeme.

Nevertheless, please have a go at quiz number 393 which will follow shortly in this very same section of the forum...

I explained earlier that 'Who is seen here ?' is a handy short way of saying 'Who is seen in the uncropped version of this photo ?'

Some things are so obvious to the reader [well, most of them] that they don't need spelling out in precise & accurate detail & this leads to a slightly lazy, but nevertheless effective, way of wording these quizzes which seems to get the message across to the vast majority.

Your attention to detail, Graeme, is appreciated.

Coming soon - Trivia Quiz No.393 !

It's a corker !

Who will be the winner ?

All will be revealed in good time !

Yes Colin and that works when there's no one in your photo. If it's flowers and a vase and a painting on the wall and no one can be seen then it must mean who is seen in the uncropped photo.
But when your image has someone standing in it and you ask who is seen here then that's where it doesn't always work.

Your point well-put & is taken.

Rest assured that future quiz questions will be worded in such a way that even the most pedantic reader will be left in no doubt
as to the intended meaning.

Quiz number 393 is in the planning stage as I write !

Good to hear.

I confess, I totally got the wrong end of the stick with this one. I thought that person in your opening pic playing a nothing type of fill-in role was somebody who was very famous. I'm looking and looking again thinking does it look like so-and-so, does it look like whoever and though I'd got nowhere I was excited to see who this person was. So it was the let down and comments out loud my end of, "Huh? WTF? Why that no good for nuthin' ColinB..... Colin can take his quiz and stick it up his B".

Awww......too, too funny. Anyway, get on with it QuizMaster, you don't get paid to sit around doing nothing. Yeah, okay, you don't get paid at all for anything - but that must include doing nothing, so there!

You may not be the first to feel like that............ but perhaps the first to put it in writing...

I don't get paid in money, it's true, but I'm happy to simply relax in the glow of the unstinting praise from my loyal band of quizzers...

... or I would do if I got any...
