Ricky Stanley On The Book, "Elvis And Ginger".

Postby Mountain Mist » Mon Apr 02, 2018 10:31 am

An "interesting" missive if anyone cares:

Ricky Stanley posted this about a book he read.

"I just finished reading "ELVIS AND GINGER." I want to go on record and say it's the most honest and touching book I've ever read. Of course I've ALWAYS loved Ginger and the entire Alden family. I know how much Elvis loved them also. I visited the Alden home many times with Elvis. I enjoyed visiting them almost as much as he did.(I had a crush on Terry Alden and she felt the same towards me).

Occasionally Elvis would tease us about it. But I just feel compelled to let all my friends and fellow Elvis fans know how much I enjoyed reading her book. Elvis loved Ginger with ALL HIS HEART. She brought so much joy into his life. I'm also convinced that she was good for Elvis. No disrespect to Linda Thompson or Cilla Presley intended. She never took him for granted or became jaded with his incredible career. I have the utmost respect for her and ALWAYS will.

Rosemary Alden Starkey was so much fun to be around. She kept Elvis in a good mood and was sensitive to his needs. Mr. and Mrs. Alden loved Elvis too. They were more than familiar with their future son in laws devotion to their " beautiful and caring daughter. Elvis didn't visit people's homes. However he really enjoyed going to their home. I've heard many people say how they just treated Elvis like family. I'm not going to indulge or debate this issue.

The Alden family went out of their way to make Elvis and myself very comfortable when we went to visit them. To this very day I maintain they truly loved Elvis. If you really want to read an honest and touching love story I hope you'll pick up a copy of "ELVIS AND GINGER.

I must confess that I haven't read very many books about Elvis. This book brought back so many pleasant memories for me. I'm thankful for her love and devotion to Elvis. It's gonna be mentioned in my book, " ELVIS SPIRITUAL SPEAKING: A MAN AFTER GODS OWN HEART.

And I feel it incumbent upon me to say that Ginger has gotten a "bad rap" by some of the people that were around when they were dating and engaged. She was and always will be one of the few who really loved, adored, and cherished Elvis for just being Elvis. And my Daddy (Vernon Presley) considered her a " blessing to all that knew her."

God Bless Ginger,Rosemary, and Terry for your unconditional love to Elvis,Daddy, and Lisa Marie."

I had this mental picture of Rosemary saying to Ricky, "Now, add that, and that, we will fix them, cover all the bases, everyone is stupid, this will put them all in their place".

LOL LOL

Hello Rosemary!

What should we deal with. Please explain?
