So, may I please ask, what is the consensus?
Hope Lange or Marilyn?
I think that Hope looked very natural, and she seemed such a warm, funny, down to earth and practical lady (I loved her in the made for TV series "Ghost and Mrs Muir").

Tricky one, that.
Hope Lange is lovely but maybe Marilyn Monroe is sexier...

Marilyn was the sexiest woman ever, in the history of everything, ever.
Even when she wasn't trying to be sexy, she was.

Yes, I didn't word that properly, did I ?
Try again:
Hope Lange is lovely, but maybe the sexiness of Marilyn Monroe gives her the edge.

Mountain Mists's question was:
"Hope Lange or Marilyn Monroe ?"
Marilyn's sexiness doesn't necessarily make her first choice [sex isn't everything] as Misty pointed out:
"...Hope looked very natural, and she seemed such a warm, funny, down to earth and practical lady..."
Those attributes would need to be considered when deciding between the two ladies...

I know what the conversation was about, but when discussing Marilyn's sexiness in comparison to other actresses, maybe doesn't come into it.

LOL
Do you remember what Jane Fonda said? Something like, "Men used to physically shake when they were beside her."

Mountain Mist wrote:...I just read up on Marilyn, if true what I read, her life became more interesting to the curious reader, with regard to her encounters that were, perhaps, to help her acting career, as I observed a photo, full of chemistry, with Marilyn and a lady who was her acting coach (plus, later on, it was noted Marilyn had a rendezvous with Barbara Stanwyck, gosh, lots of people).
I had no idea.
Thanks, Colin.

I knew that the sexual orientation of Barbara Stanwyck was open to doubt, but I'd never heard that about Marilyn until I found this:
