That's right, so what sleeve are they using to illustrate this UK single ?

The photo is certainly the same one used on the 1977 re-release of Are You Lonesome Tonight !

That's the French EP from Girls, Girls, Girls.
It's not even a UK release.
Did I win anything?

Yes !

Strange to use an EP - never released in the UK [or the US] - to illustrate a UK Xmas No.1 single !

Especially on such an 'official' site !

Well done, TonyS, & thanks for the extra info [I didn't know it was a French release] !

But there are no prizes for correctly spotting 'errors' in this bit...

I should have looked at the topic earlier, the answers easy when you own a copy. ;)

When in Milwaukee for a show, on 24th June, 1977, Elvis saw a fight going on in the street, & intervened.

They've put up a marker at the spot.

It has been vandalised at some point & the metal plate describing the event has been removed.

These are the 'before' & 'after' photos:

After:

Something just doesn't add up there !

Something doesn't add up for sure.
Who removes/ vandalises a plate and then moves Elvis from the right to the left of the stone?
Weird.

I suppose the answer could be that the 'complete' marker has replaced the vandalised one, although the text doesn't say that.

Yes indeed, it is a different marker.

It seems our US friends aren't too well informed about the UK !

Only a short piece of text & yet there are three or more errors there !
