I took my son, who was 12 at the time, to see AC/DC live (years ago). We could have re-sold the tickets on Ebay...wait for it....for $3,000.00. I took him anyway :( LOL

We had a ball, although I'm not used to how it was at the AC/DC concert from the concerts I've attended previously - security was incredible, no bottle tops from bottled water allowed, security also scanned all of us.

"Hells Bells" at the beginning was just amazing, couldn't hear a thing except the music and our ears rattling, lol. They did all look very old, though, although they still moved well. Brian's voice was absolutely powerful (I noticed Brian had pain when he moved around) and Angus moved so well for his age, with his guitar, doing "his thing" in pouring rain.

We had the best seats as well, the women in the audience became a bit raunchy, (Colin would have loved what the women in the audience did, lol).

I've not ever experienced anything like it - I always wanted to see AC/DC in concert and I'm glad I did.

This idea that I'm a 'dirty old man' is misconceived.

I don't consider myself 'old' at all....

I heard this song on an advert at the cinema last week and found out it's a girl called Hayley Sanderson. Apparently she sings with the Strictly Come Dancing band, but as I've never seen the programme, I wasn't aware of her.

She appears to have recorded only one album which I bought yesterday and it's brilliant.

and would believe it, there's a very loose connection to Elvis.

What a fine record !

I'm actually listening to an expanded edition which also includes the three contemporary singles, "From Me To You"/"Thank You Girl", "She Loves You"/"I'll Get You" and "I Want To Hold Your Hand"/"This Boy".

One of the most astonishing things about The Beatles is the sheer amount of great material they recorded. There was hardly filler stuff on their records, not even on the b-sides of the singles.

And it's just incredible that songs like "It Won't Be Long" and "All My Loving" were actually LP tracks (although the latter would be released as a single in some countries).

And John's reading of The Miracles' "You've Really Got A Hold On Me" is fantastic.
