The grandchildren - are they ignoring you or listening to something else ?

Hard to say these days...

Poor Dolly. Off course, as she's never had children, she won't have any grandchildren.

That is sad.

She's so well equipped for motherhood...

That is so sexist. These days mothers are of any gender with or without equipment. Daft I call it.

Why sexist ?

How do you know that I wasn't referring to her tender, caring nature equipping her well for motherhood ?

These days it’s all gender neutral. The terms her and motherhood are no longer acceptable.

Jolene isn't a Grandchild:

Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene
I'm begging of you please don't take my man
Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene
Please don't take him just because you can

Your beauty is beyond compare
With flaming locks of auburn hair
With ivory skin and eyes of emerald green

Your smile is like a breath of spring
Your voice is soft like summer rain
And I cannot compete with you
Jolene

He talks about you in his sleep
And there's nothing I can do to keep
From crying when he calls your name
Jolene

And I can easily understand
How you could easily take my man
But you don't know what he means to me
Jolene

Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene
I'm begging of you please don't take my man
Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene
Please don't take him just because you can

You could have your choice of men
But I could never love again
He's the only one for me
Jolene

I had to have this talk with you
My happiness depends on you
And whatever you decide to do
Jolene
Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene
I'm begging of you please don't take my man
Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene
Please don't take him even though you can
Jolene, Jolene

:D

Thanks for the lyrics !

She's a love rival - I knew that !

I was making a comment about how you don't know, these days, if youngsters can hear you when they have their earphones in !

I mentioned grandchildren because it's with them that I have this problem...

I know who they mean, but not why...

Something to do with smoking banana skins which made you high, but disproved. Or maybe that the whispered bit was rumored to be "thumbs up Macca", but it was actually Donovan himself.

Donovan went out with a woman called Linda Lawrence who lived here in Woodley just a few doors from where i'm sitting now. She had previously been going out with Brian Jones of the Rolling Stones. The house where she lived and where Brian and the other Stones visited/stayed, is called Rolling Stones. It now belongs to a guy who sells cars.
