2 Euro copin from France 2020 is this Johnny Hallyday?

Postby Yin Yang » Wed Dec 27, 2023 9:16 pm

Today I received this euro coin which seems to be from France, 2020.
I have the impression it is Johnny Hallyday related.
Can anyone confirm or deny?

This is a 2 Euro coin from Slovenia, and it's devoted to Slovenian poet France Prešeren (1800-1849) :

The 2 euro coin features a profile of the national poet France Prešeren, and a line from his poem Zdravljica, which is also the national anthem, in his own hand.

Thank you for the information. Somehow the text's are hard to read and the "France" put me in the wrong direction.
If it had been a Johnny Hallyday related coin I would have kept it with my Johnny Hallyday collection, but this one goes to my sister's Euro coin collection like any "strange" Euro coin I receive.

The text on the coin was hard to read (or my eyesight is not what it used to be), it had "France" on it and the "picture" looked like Johnny Hallyday.
But I was not sure so I asked the experts here because here are people from all over Europe.
While lots of coins from European countries are circulating here, some are hard to find, like...... Slovania, Vatican City, Cyprus and some more.
For Germany the same coin can be found in 7 different versions, one for each county.
For The Netherlands there are coins with our queen, our queen and king together and our king.

It's indeed a bit tricky to make out the details of the coins when one it's not very used to them. Every country chooses the designs of the coins, and some are more easily identifiable than others, with the added difficulty of the newly-added countries.

I have found this very reliable and detailed website (see the index at the bottom of the front page) :
