Elvis Love Me Tender doll

Elvis Presley Love Me Tender Doll (Elvis Presley Enterprises, 1957).

Elvis made his motion picture debut in a Western film originally set to be titled The Reno Brothers, playing Clint, the youngest of four brothers during the Civil War. Elvis' newfound pop stardom and hit records resulted a new title and four musical numbers hastily added for the November, 1956 release.

To capitalize on the film's success, this 18" doll, dressed in Clint Reno's plaid shirt and blue jeans with a big buckled belt (as seen in one of the film's musical numbers), was issued early in 1957. It's one of the rarest Elvis items in existence, due to the fact that the "magic skin" body tended to deteriorate over time. This example is nicely preserved, but does have a few condition problems, including a detached leg and one deteriorated hand (a replacement hand created for display is included). The back of the neck is marked "Elvis Presley Enterprises copyright 1957".

Stop Press !

It has been revealed that member TonyS has nothing signed by Bruce Bennett who played Major Kincaid
in Love Me Tender !

This is the first time this has happened in an Elvis film & is unique !

The people at The Guinness Book of World Records have been informed...

I have an autograph from at least one person in every Elvis movie....
I needn't have bothered with all this though, I could have just posted my Elvis autograph and that statement would still stand. ;)

Congrats !

As for Elvis, it's not that easy, I'm afraid !

To qualify, you need a photo, signed by him, of every role he appeared as !

That means two for Kissin' Cousins - but we'll let you off This is Elvis...

You misunderstood !

What's needed is a pic of Elvis signed by himself in each film 'role' he played.

Can't be done, I say !
