After a third but unsuccessful session Sam played an acetate of "That's All Right" for Dewey Philips, who promised to play the song on his show the next evening.

Elvis bought a pink 1955 Cadillac with a black top to replace the one that was burned.


July 07, 1956

Elvis drove down to Tupelo for the day.


July 07, 1957

Elvis was introduced to Anita Wood by George Klein.


July 07, 1960

Elvis bought a water-skiing boat. He continued to rent the Rainbow Rollerdrome and the Memphian Theater almost every day.


July 07, 1969

Elvis continued to work on material for Vegas with Charlie Hodge.


July 07, 1976

Elvis left in the early hours of the morning for Los Angeles, then flew on to Palm Springs.
