July 04, 1954

Elvis went to Scotty's house and run through nearly every song he knew. Bill Black showed up too, but neither of them were impressed by Elvis. However, Scotty agreed to Sam Philips that it would be worth another try in the studio with Elvis.


July 04, 1955

Elvis had three shows this day. At the Hoedown Club, Corpus Christi, Texas. At the Hodges Park, De Leon, Texas and at the Memorial Hall, Brownwood Texas at 8.00 p.m.


July 04, 1956

Elvis arrived with the train in Memphis and walked home to Audubon Drive. He spent the afternoon with his family and Barbara Hearn. In the evening he did a how in Russwood Park, Memphis.


July 04, 1957

After hearing of the death of Judy Tyler, costar in Jailhouse Rock, Elvis showed up at George Klein's house early in the morning.


July 04, 1960

Elvis visited his mother's grave.


July 04, 1971

After the usual fireworks for the 4th of July, Elvis and his gang went to the Crosstown to see some movies.


July 04, 1973

After completing the tour, Elvis went home to Memphis, where he remained at home for the most part.


July 04, 1974

Back in Memphis Elvis put on a 90 minute karate demonstration with Ed Parker at the Tennessee Karate Institute.


July 04, 1976

Elvis performed at the Mabee center, Oral Roberts University, Tulsa. Oklahoma at 2.30 p.m.
