No.2 - Ed Asner

Co-Stars - Ed Asner.PNG

Ed Asner [real name Yitzhak Edward Asner] was born on November 15, 1929.
A US actor, activist, voice-over performer & a former president of the Screen Actors Guild.
He is mostly known for his role as Lou Grant during the 1970s and early 1980s, on both
The Mary Tyler Moore Show and its spin-off series Lou Grant, making him one of
the few television actors to play the same leading character in both a comedy and a drama.

As well as being one of the most outstanding and most respected actors of his generation, equally
at home with comedy as he is with drama, Ed also worked as a trade unionist and a political activist.

More recently, he starred as the voice of Carl Fredricksen in Pixar's animated film Up in 2009.

He appeared in the Elvis films: Kid Galahad [1962] & Change of Habit [1969]

Yes !

The idea is to add surviving co-stars over a period [while they, & I, are still around]...

Colin, with your opening post mentioning Julie Adams was in 'Murder, She Wrote', expected your follow up post to be about Angela Lansbury - the clues were there.

In this interview Julie talks about working with Elvis in Tickle Me, and other screen legends. What a nice lady.
