Thought it'd be fun to have another ongoing thread.

I played and enjoyed this one yesterday:

A solid single-disc sampler, imo, and a good start to dip into Elvis gospel recordings. What do you think?

Golden Records Vol 3, mono, small orange label, 1969 re-issue I believe.
Sounded GREAT !

I have been listening to the two releases with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

I listen to Aloha about once a month.

This one yesterday evening...

Enjoyed mostly Kid Galahad.

Girls, girls, girls doesn't start bad - +/- first half is enjoyable. Except 'Plantation Rock', second half is ... mmm... Well... a little less enjoyable to me.

I listened to Elvis: Inspirational and His Songs of Praise Vol. 1 (which has bad sound quality by the way)

Currently spinning...

Really like it. I don't have the original albums Reconsider Baby and Return of the Rocker. So, for me, this 'rehash' was still a welcome addition.

I don't know that one - but there are lots of rare(r) Elvis' albums I don't know  . I'll check it out, thx!

Love ABFT! And Burning Love 1999 too.
