Filming of the Boston show by the press.

Postby cadillac-elvis » Thu Jul 11, 2019 1:14 am

So, does the press really have this show in the can?

When the press asks Elvis at the New york press conference ,

"We were allowed to film the Boston show, so why are we being told that we won't be able to film your Garden show?

Where is that footage? Is it out there?

The Boston show was filmed.
It was the test run on how to film the tour by Addige and Abel.
Maybe it was them yelling the question to Elvis lol

The test show was the Buffalo show. It was a lady asking the question.

but I believe none of that is pro press footage.

It's too bad Elvis on tour was not done during this tour, as he was better than in april of 72.

Maybe there's a presumption being made by us.
"We were allowed to film in Boston, so why not the Garden?"
Allowed to film.
Doesn't mean they did.
I accept it can be read the other way as well.

It’s not unusual for tv stations, then and now, granted access to film a few minutes of a concert for inclusion in a story they are doing on the artist coming to their city.

There is footage of MSG first show in YouTube and a few others, tv pro shot - not 16mm-35mm pro shot. There is the 20 minutes of Honolulu in November 1972 shot by Nippon-TV from Japan.

There's the answer to the question. "We were allowed to film in Boston, why not at the Garden?"
The truth was an answer they didnt want to give out at the press conference.
"Because we've done an exclusive deal [We being Parker on his own] to allow a local TV crew to film a few minutes.
