Postby colonel snow » Fri Dec 29, 2017 1:30 pm

I met her today

Although Elvis recorded the song on 15 october 1961 the first released version was recorded on 31 may 1963 by Eddy Arnold (RCA 47-8253).
Elvis' version was released for the first time in july 1965 on LPM/LSP 3450 - Elvis for everyone.

Here's a version by composer Don Robertson:

I reckon he's a better songwriter than he is a singer...

The version by Don Robettson in the previous post is a demo-version.

Was the 'demo' used on the 'legit' Don Robertson album ?

Or did he do a more polished version for that ?
