The original version was recorded on 07-08-59 by Jimmy Reed (Vee Jay VJ 333).

Another version was recorded around november 1964 by Fontella Bass & Bobby McClure (Checker 1097); a 45 rpm was found in Elvis' personal collection.

I believe Guralnick in Careless Loves writes that Elvis and Ann-Margaret used to spend hours jamming on this song when they were dating.
