Maybe not the best version but I have a soft spot for Rick Nelson's version of "Someday". This was the very first version of this song that I heard. And I did not know then about James Burton and Rick Nelson's connection.

colonel snow wrote:Not really rejected but according to the book A life in music (page 217) the next songs were selected for june 1966 recording sessions:
Faded love - Bob Wills;
Shake a hand - Faye Adams;
Saved - LaVern Baker;
After loving you - Della Reese;
A million miles from nowhere - Brook Benton (never recorded).
The fool - Snfor Clark;
The wonder of you - Ray Peterson.

All songs recorded later on.

It would have been interesting to see how these turned out in comparison to what we know.

These were "old" songs; for the music publishers not interesting.

Are you sure "Wheel Of Fortune" and "Wheel Of Love" could have been related ?

I can't imagine "Wheel Of Fortune" being used in "Easy Come, Easy Go".

There was a great version by The Cardinals released in 1952 for Atlantic :
