The original version was a piano version and recorded on 01 february 1928 by composer Ernesto Lecuona (Victor 80672).

Another well known version was recorded on 6 july 1960 by Connie Francis (MGM 12923).

I like connie Frances version of this song. I have not heard the version by Ernesto I imagine its a powerul one.

Librace, Did a great piano version, I think In 60s .

Seriously, nothing beats the late Roy Clerk. I heard this on TV a million years ago, and I was stunned.

Wow, these versions capture one's heart to have to move to them.

Sharp, focussed, strong, so much feeling, brilliant. I can imagine the Spanish dancers, being truly grounded in their dance, dancing the Flamenco.
