The US Cavalry scene looks familiar but the focus is not their faces, so I cannot figure out who the actors are. Sorry. Since Clambake was a low budget film, I would presume that western movie footage is from another United Artists production.

Elvis His Life From A - Z. I've just looked through the notes for Clambake and there is no mention of the B&W movie. There's nothing under the entry for Confidence either.

A bit of useless trivia:

The Confidence scene marked the film debut of a boy called Corbin Bernsen who went on to have a long career in films & on TV.

In 2016, he was in a short horror film titled The Elvis Room...

That's a pic of how he looks now, but I can't figure out who he is in the Clambake film !

As he's 12 years younger, I'll take that as a compliment...

Keep an eye on the guy on the right, wearing white, yellow and red striped shirt and shorts. He is so athletic that he can move from the ground to the roof (0:26) in an instant, and on the 0:48 sec he is on the ground, then the next second he is back on the roof.etc. Amazing!!!

Thanks PP, I smiled all the way through.

:D

The red striped shirt guy was very busy, lol.

The bongo sound was also dubbed in later on, as the sound was out of time with Elvis hitting them.

.......... trouble is, I'd need to know the answer first !
